What do you mean by “Equality”?

Our Equality Ratings System allows consumers to instantly assess a hotel’s commitment to equality. Hotels on Equality Hotels are evaluated on whether workers have a voice at work, fair wages, decent benefits such as health insurance, work breaks, reasonable room schedules, freedom from intimidation, respect at work, and union representation.

Hotels with an Equality Preferred rating are committed to the promise of equality. Workers at these hotels receive a voice at work regarding such things as negotiations for fair wages, benefits such as health insurance, work breaks, reasonable room schedules, freedom from intimidation, and respect at work.

 

Hotels with a neutral rating have not been determined by Equality Hotels to either provide or deny workers equality at work. Equality Hotels has no opinion regarding these hotels.

 

Hotels with an unequal rating are in an active dispute regarding workers rights. These hotels have been determined to actively reject equality for hotel workers. These hotels may be on strike or involved in an ongoing boycott. We urge you to select another hotel.

 

Why can't I book at some hotels?

Our Equality Hotels Rating System has determined that certain hotels are "not committed to equality." These properties may be involved in an active dispute regarding workers' rights. These hotels may be on strike or involved in an ongoing boycott. If you would like more information about a particular property, please call us. Equality Hotels does not support these hotels, but urges you to select another hotel location.

How can I change my reservation?

If an airline change is necessary, please call the Equality Hotels Customer Care team at 1.888.424.6879, Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 8:30pm EST, or email support@equalityhotels.com. For after hours changes to air travel, please contact your air carrier directly.

Hotel and car rental changes may be modified online at any time by first clicking “My Trips” area on the home page then choosing the trip you wish to change.

Please note you may be responsible for any vendor cancellation penalties.

Equality Hotels allows you to save details for trips you may make on a regular basis. This means that there is no need to repeatedly re-enter your personal information. It save you time and makes your travel experience a little easier. You can also track your itineraries for your trips, and email the details to friends or colleagues at any time.
